Residents of Lucknow, India will be able to send items for fast mail delivery at a self-serve kiosk at the entrance of the General Post Office in September. The kiosk will allow people to send packages weighing a maximum of 5 kilograms, according to a Times of India report.
Customers will select a destination for their delivery using a touchscreen. A conveyor on the kiosk will then weigh the item and provide the user a barcode to paste on the package. The kiosk will list the amount required to be paid online.
Similar kiosks exist in other Indian cities.
