India startup launches digital health check kiosk

Versicle Technologies, a Kerala, India-based startup, has introduced a digital health kiosk to provide basic diagnostics like blood pressure, blood sugar and heart conditions in multiple languages, according to a press release.

Prognosis, the kiosk, features a touchscreen that offers video instructions and measures a user's blood pressure, blood sugar, heart conditions (via a ECG monitor), temperature (via a wireless Bluetooth thermometer) and weight.

"The digital devices feed data into our cloud-based medical inference AI engine," Kiran Karunakaran, founder, said in the release. "The kiosk can easily and accurately identify hidden conditions like heart arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) and diabetes, and connect to expert medical care at the right time."

"It also serves as an information hub, offering users insights into various medical services, catering to the company's broader mission of promoting health awareness," CEO Manoj Dethan said in the release.
