India railway installs digital ticket kiosks

The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corp. Ltd., a government railway in Nagpur, India, has installed digital kiosks at rail stations for commuters to purchase tickets, according to a hindustantimes.com report.

Digital tickets can be obtained on WhatsApp as well as the kiosk, which also offers physical tickets. Patrons are able to pay using digital payments.

The kiosks will accept bank card payments in the future.
