ImageXpres hires award-winning medical software developer

ImageXpres, whichmanufactures and markets a family of self-service interactive digital kiosks, and digital signage displays, hasannounced the hiring of software developer Phil Sacchitella to lead its team in completing the company's newest development projects.
 
Sacchitella, a graduate of RIT Information Science College,has won RIT awards for entrepreneurial software applications, primarily in the medical field. ImageXpres is currently in final negotiations to acquire Sacchitella's iPhone/Android development firm and software products.
 
"Mr. Sacchitella will be leading ImageXpres's iPhone, Android product development, helping to expand on the company's Surg-i-Scan product line, currently in review at Apple, awaiting Apple approval for public release on the App Store," ImageXpres president and CEO John Zankowski said. "The Surg-i-Scan app, revised for Apple's iOS4 communications compatibility, will be announced within the coming weeks."
 
According to the company, Sacchitella's firm has specialized in mobile medical applications on the iPhone and Android platforms, and his addition positions ImageXpres for custom medical applications and solutions that adhere to rigorous HIPAA regulations, and secure client-server communications protocols.
 
Sacchitella has been charged with responsibility for overseeing the software design and implementation FreePrintze and SmartKiosk Digital Advertising programs.
 
ImageXpres currently is completing the SmartKiosk touchscreen user interface with customizable features for various industries. In the following weeks the company will announce its new software.
 
This quarter the company plans to announce new distributors and resellers of its FreePrintze and SmartKiosk products, who will assist the ImageXpres to market and sell its products nationally.
