I&E offers hand-crafted enclosure for high-end applications

March 27, 2007

SPARTA, N.J. — Instruments & Equipment Co. announced the release of its unique, hand-crafted wooden Shadow kiosk enclosure for self-service applications. The Shadow is ideal for high-end self-service applications and transactional purposes that require a more fashionable and aesthetically pleasing look, as opposed to the modern and sleek look of metal. It is configurable with various peripherals including infrared touchscreen, keyboard, barcode scanner, printer, magnetic stripe reader and speakers. The maple exterior can be customized with a choice of stain.

In addition to the standard features offered in the artfully crafted wooden enclosure, I&E has partnered with IBM to integrate the Anyplace Kiosk into the Shadow enclosure.

I&E offers a few key factors to consider when selecting a kiosk, including selecting peripherals, choosing between available colors and materials, distinguishing which kiosk line meets the customer's needs and incorporating available kiosk software. Instruments & Equipment Co. developed and created Web Guardian, which is an economical software package for kiosks connected to the Internet. Web Guardian replaces the existing browser and restricts the user's ability to surf outside of the intended area.
