The Idaho Transportation Department has been gathering public feedback on a federal initiative to create EV charging stations along interstates, according to an eastidahonews.com report.
Under the National Electric Vehicle Investment, or NEVI, program, Idaho will have around $28 million over five years through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to create a network of charging stations every 50 miles along the interstate.
Feedback has been supportive of having additional EV charging stations.
The state will present a plan to the Federal Highway Administration by Aug. 1.
