IBM awards quality designation to Netkey software

March 18, 2002

BRANFORD, Conn. - International computer manufacturer IBM has granted a StoreProven designation to programs designed by kiosk software provider Netkey for IBM's line of NetVista kiosks. The StoreProven designation highlights equipment and technology that has met IBM's compatibility standards.

Netkey's kiosk software received the designation after going through a series of more than 50 quality control tests, including reliability checks on the software and tests of printer functions. The results were then presented to a panel of IBM point-of-sale testers for final approval.

"Netkey has proven to be a major industry player with an impressive track record in delivering market-ready software applications," Robert Henshaw, IBM retail hardware manager, said in a Netkey press release.

Based in Branford, Conn., Netkey recently was honored twice in KIOSK Magazine's annual awards, earning top honors for most innovative product for its Creator 5.0 kiosk design software and software design excellence for its Manager remote management software.
