Houston courts 'decentralize' services via kiosks

August 11, 2014

Houston Municipal Courts Department has expanded its traffic ticket payment kiosk service to area police stations, according to The Kingwood Observer.

Tickets can be paid 24 hours a day, and cashless options are available. A $2 fee is assessed at the kiosks.

"It is our goal that the kiosks will help us reach our continuous goal of decentralizing as many court services as possible. This is just another step to provide more access to justice for all Houstonians, when and where they require it," said Judge Barbara Hartle, director and presiding judge of the Municipal Courts Department, in the article.
