Charlotte (N.C.) Observer: As they're becoming widespread at airports, self-service computer kiosks are now moving into new territory: hotel lobbies. Some of the nation's largest hotel chains are gradually introducing the machines, which can check travelers in, allow them to select their room's location and spit out a key. Recent research, though, indicates that hotels still have a long way to go to maximize the use of the technology.
