Vending machines have been set up at 10 transit stations in Hong Kong for the public to collect COVID-19 specimen collection packs, according to a press release.

A government contractor will distribute about 10,000 specimen collection packs per day to the vending machines located in the unpaid area of these stations. Each station will have a fixed supply each day and each person can collect one pack while stocks last. Members of the public can collect the packs with their Octopus, free of charge, at the stations during operating hours.

MTR Mobile will provide information about the supply of specimen collection packs including whether stations are out of stock or packs are still available for the public's reference. MTR will deploy additional manpower to help maintain order around the vending machines.
