Hong Kong has expanded its reach into mainland China by establishing self-service kiosks in key cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, according to a Human Resources Online report.
The kiosks aim to streamline access to various public services for residents and enterprises in the region.
The kiosks, located in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai, offer a range of services, including taxation, company registration, property and vehicle inquiries and immigration clearance. A spokesperson for the Digital Policy Office emphasized the initiative's goal of meeting the growing demand for Hong Kong public services in the GBA.
"We will continue to work with Guangdong authorities to expand the availability of these kiosks in more cities," the spokesperson told the news outlet. "This is a significant step toward enhancing cross-border cooperation and convenience for residents."
