Hertz kiosks offer maps, advice on local hotspots

WELLINGBOROUGH, England -- Interface, a European provider of interactive kiosks, will supply 244 Driving Direction terminals to Hertz US after a successful pan-European pilot earlier this year.

The deployment should be complete by the end of 2003, covering 174 locations from Hawaii to Los Angeles, according to a news release.

Apart from driving directions and route mapping, the units also give pointers on places of interest including restaurants and hotels, along with other travel information.
