Hemisphere West Introduces ""Universal"" USB Interface for Bill and Coin Acceptors

Las Vegas, Nev. - A new universal USB Interface for coin and bill acceptors is the latest product introduction from Hemisphere West. The specialty distributor and manufacturer of international currency validation products says customers have requested a device that allows a system designer to use USB ports for use with bill and coin acceptors.

John Petkus, Hemisphere West's Director of Sales and Marketing, said the new device will work with virtually every major brand of coin validator and bill acceptor, and provides what is almost a plug-and-play environment.

The "Universal" USB Interface is contained within a small enclosure with USB output cable and currency validator input cable included. The unit uses an external 12 VDC power supply (.5 amp for coin validators, 2.0 A for bill acceptors). Also included with the Interface is test and setup software with full technical documentation.
