Healthnotes robust enough for NCR award

April 14, 2002

PORTLAND, Ore. - Providing up-to-date health and wellness information in an attractive and technologically strong format has earned Healthnotes Inc. kudos from NCR Corp. The technology equipment manufacturer has honored Healthnotes with its Interactive Design Award for Touch Kiosks.

The health and nutrition information provider was honored for its Healthy Living Product Suite Version 7.0. The software package, available on Healthnotes's Web site and in kiosks at more than 6,500 locations in North America and the UK, offers information on vitamins, herbal remedies, and prescription and over-the-counter medications.

The Interactive Design Awards recognize NCR partners for excellence in usability, design, and end-user feedback. A list of 250 guidelines and user surveys are used to judge nominees. Feedback on Healthnotes was culled from surveys at a Publix supermarket in Atlanta.

Healthnotes, whose kiosks are located at supermarkets, pharmacies, and health food stores, was founded in 1986 and launched its online database 10 years later.
