PORTLAND, Ore.- Healthnotes Inc. is launching the new EasyAnswers Touchscreen Counter Top kiosk to help retail pharmacies and supermarkets offer an interactive health and wellness resource, according to a company release.
"As more and more consumers strive to live healthier lives, pharmacies and supermarkets are looking for comprehensive, easy-to-implement programs they can use to educate their customers on complex health and wellness issues," stated Schuyler Lininger, HNI president and CEO.
The Counter Top unit is a smaller version of the standard EasyAnswers Touchscreen Pedestal kiosk introduced in January 2004.
Designed for placement in drug stores, pharmacies, or healthy living departments, the Counter Top kiosk features health-related graphics and built-in user instructions on a steel enclosure, and is configured to run Healthnotes Healthy Living or Healthnotes Pharmacy software.
Healthnotes Healthy Living and Healthnotes Pharmacy provide consumer-friendly, science-based information on health concerns, supplements, foods, nutrition, special diets, and weight control, as well as hundreds of recipes.
Healthnotes Pharmacy also features more than 2,000 patient education monographs (PEMs) covering over 10,000 OTC and prescription medications. The articles, PEMs, and recipes can be printed directly from the kiosk free of charge.
"Healthnotes is proud to offer an expanding family of kiosk hardware options, allowing retailers to locate interactive health resources anywhere in the store where shoppers need them - from an end-cap display or product shelf, to a reference desk area or pharmacy counter," said Lininger.
