PORTLAND, Ore. - Access to health and wellness information is now a little easier for consumers in theAppalachian andAllegany Mountain regions. Health and nutrition information provider Healthnotes Inc. has licensed its Healthnotes Healthy Living Product Suite to supermarket chain Giant Eagle Inc. for use on the chain's Web site.

Healthnotes, whose services are also available through Healthnotes's Web site and kiosks at more than 6,500 locations in North America and the UK, offers information on health concerns, herbal remedies, nutritional supplements, prescription and over-the-counter medications, and homeopathic medicine.

Giant Eagle, a 70-year-old chain founded in Pittsburgh, has more than 200 stores in western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
