Healthnotes continues growing in UK

PORTLAND, Ore. - Healthnotes Inc., seeking to make its United Kingdom platforms more robust, announced the release of its UK-based Healthnotes Healthy Living Application Suite on Dec. 18. The suite includes three self-service applications with health and lifestyle information.

Nutrition and health information are available through Healthnotes's Web site and kiosks located in more then 6,500 outlets throughout the UK and North America.

The new UK suite includes sections on health information and herbal remedies, recipes and diet information, and drug and vitamin information. In addition to the three new sections, the new package includes updated information on sports nutrition and weight management.

Healthnotes, which has marketed its information on kiosks since 1996, offers information on more than 2,000 topics through its software suites.

"Our long-term customers have seen us expand the original product with each version," Michael Peet, Healthnotes vice president of sales and marketing, said in a news release. "It has now grown to three comprehensive applications that work together as components or independently, depending on retailer needs."
