(West Palm Beach, Fla.) WPTV-TV, Channel 5: Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest healthcare organizations in the U.S., is joining the push by hospitals across the country to automate more functions. Kaiser Permanente has announced plans to roll out 90 self-service kiosks in 60 of its medical clinics. The touchscreen kiosks are designed to do almost everything a receptionist can. They are expected to reduce patient wait times and free up human receptionists to handle more complex cases.
