Vending machines installed outside of three Washington, D.C. firehouses in April are expected to hit nearly 1,000 distributions of harm reduction supplies this month, according to a wjla.com report.

The top moving items have been Narcan, which reverses opioid overdose, and fentanyl test strips.

Individuals can call the number on the machine to get free COVID test kits, sexual health products and hygiene supplies in addition to Narcan and fentanyl test strips.

The machines are operated by Family and Medical Counseling Services.
