Printer manufacturer Microcom Corp. has announced the launch of the Model 238B battery-powered thermal printer.

Printer manufacturerMicrocom Corp. has announced the launch of the Model 238B battery-powered thermal printer. The model is designed with a rechargeable battery that can print 4,000 tickets during a single charge, according to a press release.
"What the 238B really offers is flexibility and convenience." said Dave Dezse, vice president and chief technical officer of Microcom. "The heavy duty cutter allows for a wide variety of media options and the fact that it is battery powered means you can print anywhere you have a PC."
The printer is also designed to work with tablets, and it comes with a mounting tray that can be used alongside a mobile ticketing cart to enable printing on the go. It is also designed to leave a small footprint for users with limited space, according to the release.
