Haptic technology expected to expand, driven by electronics devices

Rising demand for consumer electronics devices such as tablets, smartphones, virtual interface, media players and home appliances is a key factor driving growth of the global haptic technology market, according to a new research report from MarketResearch.biz titled, "Global Haptic Technology Market Analysis, Drivers, Restraints, Opportunities, Threats, Trends, Applications, and Growth Forecast to 2027."

A form of nonverbal communication, haptic technology allows an individual to feel input from interfaces through touch, according to a press release on the report.

The technology uses physical feedback and is executed by applying motion or force to a person's body in the form of vibration. The technology is used primarily in the control and creation of virtual objects, or in enhancement of remote control of machines and devices.

High cost, portability, debugging issues and high power consumption are factors restraining the growth of the market. Lack of technological awareness and complex software design are also expected to hamper growth over the forecast period.
