Guam rolling out kiosks for people self-representing in simple court cases

April 27, 2010

The (Guam) Pacific Daily News reports that the Guam judiciary, in partnership with Guam Legal Services Corp., is rolling out Self-Represented Litigant, or SRL, Kiosks, which will allow self-represented litigants to generate simple pleading forms for such cases as uncontested divorces and certain types of guardianships.

The computer will ask simple questions to create legal documents to be filed with the court. An SRL kiosk consisting of three computer terminals is now available at the Judicial Center of Guam, with more kiosks planned for the Guam Law Library, various mayors' offices and community support centers.
