Greenland Corp. unveils new software package

March 11, 2002

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Automated banking machine manufacturer Greenland Corp. (OTCBB:GLCP) will continue helping people help themselves to their own money with the rollout of a new self-service check cashing software system. The system, Check Central Solutions, was developed for Greenland by Trilicom Data Solutions.

The new system will support Greenland's MAXcash Automated Banking Machine kiosks as well as third-party check cashing point-of-sale systems. Check Central Solutions has been designed so that it can be allocated in single locations, with processing done at the site, or in multiple locations, with processing done at a central location.

The new system is a component of Greenland's strategy to sell MAXcash systems to customers with their own processing units. In mid-July, the company sold six MAXcash systems to Colorado-based CardPlus International Inc., the first sale made under this strategy.

"We see significant demand from independent check cashing businesses and financial institutions for a standalone, turnkey solution that can be easily installed in their stores and branches," T.A. "Kip" Hyde Jr., Greeneland president and chief executive officer, said in a news release.
