Government services program expands in Minnesota

February 21, 2002

ST. PAUL, Minn. - In its continuing effort to bring government services to the general public, NBG Solutions Inc. earlier this month installed a government services kiosk at the Lexington Outreach Branch Library in St. Paul, Minn. The kiosk is the 53rd installed by NBG as part of an agreement with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).

The kiosks offer downloadable forms for immigration services, voter registration, child support, and income tax filing, along with information on Medicare and Social Security. The GSA and NBG have deployed the kiosks at government centers and heavy traffic locations, including shopping malls.

The GSA and NBG have been working together since April of 2000, when they reached an agreement for the development and deployment of 25 kiosks nationwide. Earlier this month, NBG reached a contract extension with the GSA to maintain the kiosks through the end of 2001. (See story: NBG extends government kiosk contract).
