LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Planar Systems, Inc. has announced that independent software vendor GO!Network is utilizing Planar's Integrated Marketing Solution, a hardware platform for interactive kiosks, for its clients' consumer marketing efforts at tradeshows, shopping centers and sporting venues. According to a news release, GO!Network deployed its proprietary customer lead-generation and loyalty software - which facilitates the exchange of customer information for merchandise discounts, product giveaways and sweepstakes entries - on 19 of Planar's DS15i products. The retail-ready design of the DS15i enabled GO!Network to install its software, customize the content, test the application and deploy the units in just five days. The first two deployments on Planar kiosks resulted in more than 7,500 leads for GO!Network's partners. "Planar's Integrated Marketing Solution has improved our ability to attract customers for our clients, interact with them in an effective way and capture customer information for our own loyalty programs as well as those of our partners," said Bill Vickers, co-founder and president of GO!Network. "In addition to the benefits of the solution's physical features, the flexibility of the hardware allows us to easily customize our application's content to address a particular venue, audience and season." To apply for merchandise discounts and enter sweepstakes, consumers at shopping malls and tradeshows swipe loyalty cards through the DS15i's card stripe reader and use the touchscreen display to submit their contact information. At the end of the event or promotion, GO!Network delivers the contact information of qualified customers, gathered on Planar's DS15i, to its partners for sales and marketing efforts.
