WALTHAM, Mass. - Gomez Inc. announced in a news release the availability of Gomez Performance Network 6.0. GPN 6.0's Private PEER lets companies deploy a software agent to any location, kiosk, strategic customer or E-business critical site, and receive immediate alerts if performance problems develop. Private PEER also provides insight to development, IT, and business departments that helps explain the root cause of the problem and restore the application to service. Additionally, the software enables companies to manage service-level agreements by providing detailed diagnostics of promised performance levels to specific users.
"We had an immediate need to demonstrate the performance delivered to our customer's regional offices all over the globe," said Evan Shin, vice president of technical services at Akamai. "Within a few days, Gomez' Private PEER enabled us to establish real-time monitoring from offices located across four continents and understand the performance advantages delivered via the Akamai service. This insight into customer-specific performance allows us to identify potential problems more quickly and deliver greater value to our clients."
In addition to Private PEER, GPN 6.0 includes a new dashboard, which helps companies head off problems long before they impact an end-user. The dashboard's visual display, coupled with its ability to support personalized notification strategies by user and departmental function, further enhances companies' abilities to proactively manage service-level commitments.
