Global Cash Access' multi-function kiosk certified

November 14, 2004

LAS VEGAS-Global Cash Access (GCA) received regulatory approval from both the Nevada Gaming Laboratory and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) to incorporate its 3-in-1 ATM functionality into the QuickJack Plus multi-function patron kiosk. GCA anticipates that QuickJack Plus will eventually replace standard ATMs on the casino floor, according to a news release.

Through an alliance with NRT Technology Corporation, QuickJack Plus incorporates GCA's Casino Cash Plus 3-in-1 ATM, which includes a patented roll-over feature that gives patrons the option of obtaining funds via ATM cash withdrawals, credit card cash advance or POS debit cash advances.

QuickJack Plus offers casino patrons a user-friendly, intuitive interface that allows them to redeem slot tickets, vouchers and coupons, perform ATM, debit and credit card cash advance transactions, redeem players' club points for complimentary services and cash, and break bills to exchange currency. Other functions, such as show ticket purchases, restaurant reservations, or general information can be made available based on gaming properties' needs.

"Many large casino operators have been waiting for this approval, and as patrons become more familiar with cashless technology at slot machines, including ticket redemption devices, a complete kiosk such as QuickJack Plus helps casinos invest their capital resources more wisely and provides a consistent service platform for patrons," said Tom Sears, executive vice president of business development for GCA. "We're excited to begin this roll-out as QuickJack Plus is just one example of the many cashless gaming products we will be bringing to the market."
