Global Axcess extends grocery store partnerships

Global Axcess Corp., a provider of kiosk solutions, has entered into a three-year extension with the company's largest ATM customer, a grocery store chain with more than 1,100 locations in 11 states in the Southeastern and mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.

In addition, Global Axcess extended the contracts of two other grocery chains for three years; all three contract extensions are with subsidiaries of the same international conglomerate, according to a company press release.

Under terms of the extended agreement, Global Axcess will continue to provide a full turnkey program for more than 850 ATMs in store locations covered under these extensions.

"We are pleased to continue our long-term relationship with these grocery chains and remain committed to providing them with superior operational excellence," Lock Ireland, interim CEO of Global Axcess, said in the release. "This agreement helps to reinforce management's confidence in our core ATM business, providing a profitable and predictable platform from which we can grow both organically and through select, accretive acquisitions."
