GKC Theatres Corp. offers eKiosk high-speed Net access to customers

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -GKC Theatres of Springfield, Illinois, today announced an agreement with eKiosk Corporation of New Lenox, Illinois, to install 45 broadband Internet access workstations in 23 of its theater lobbies.

The eKiosk Corporation designs, manufactures, deploys and manages Internet kiosks in public areas. GKC Theatres operates more than 300 screens in 30-plus cities in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Arizona.

GKC theaters in Tucson, Ariz., Champaign, Ill., and Fort Gratiot, Mich., will be among the first to receive the workstations. With the unit's multimedia capabilities, GKC customers can also watch movie previews and send video e-mail.
