Maricopa County residents in East Valley, Arizona no longer need to travel to Phoenix to record important documents, according to a Queen Creek Independent report.
A kiosk inside the Southeast Regional Library, in Gilbert, allows residents to record deeds, medical liens, death certificates and more with the help of a Recorder's Office staff member via video technology.
"These kiosks offer a convenient option for residents who want to utilize Recorder's Office services close to home," Recorder Stephen Richer told the news outlet. "The kiosk connects you directly with a staff member who will guide you through the recording process step-by-step."
The kiosk operates Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. This is an additional option to recording documents by mail or visiting the main office in Phoenix.
The kiosk is the second of its kind to open in 2024, with the first opening at the Sun City Library in May. Recorder Richer plans to launch another kiosk in Goodyear later this year.
