The Kiosk Europe Expo and Digital Signage Expo are joining forces to bring together participants and companies from the self-service and digital-signage industries May 24-26 at Messe Essen in Essen, Germany.
Suppliers of complete solutions and niche suppliers will demonstrate their latest solutions and products in both fields, according to a press release. Experts in strategic communication and marketing will also introduce their concepts for successfully integrating the projects into the user's communication mix, while specialists in monitors, content management and network technology will demonstrate their solutions as well. Lastly, suppliers of touch sensors, ticket printers and applications for payment processes in cash, by card, mobile phone or simply by fingerprint will demonstrate how interactivity at the kiosk can be realized through technology.
According to the release, this year also sees far more service companies exhibiting. With the industry growing, there is now far more after-sales care available from third parties, meaning that kiosk maintenance becomes more affordable and something that smaller, more innovative kiosk companies can now offer as part of their package.
More than 130 exhibitors have signed up to exhibit, including 3M, Provisio, Star Micronics, Sharp, JCM Europe and Pitney Bowes.
The Open Forum will focus on interactive self-service and digital-signage installations. Topics include creating compelling content, design considerations for an industrial kiosk system, Kodak's presentation of kiosks in a connected world, plus a usability workshop focusing on the growth of the e-mobility and charging station markets and the potential it holds for the self- service and digital-signage industries.
