SAARBRUCKEN, Germany - Saarland Sporttoto GmbH is the eighth of 16 German lottery companies to move its lottery outlets to terminal solutions from Wincor Nixdorf, according to a news release.
Saarland Sprottoto GmbH is expected to begin installing its new-generation terminals at the beginning of 2006, with use of the terminals beginning at its lottery outlets in March 2006.
"This order means we've won half of all the orders placed by German lottery companies in the current RFP phase," said Rainer Schilbach, head of the Lottery Solutions business unit in Constance, Germany.
"In introducing a new generation of systems, our aim is to achieve a high level of flexibility, customer-friendliness and process security," said Dietmar Hoffmann, manager at Data Processing & Gaming Operations at Saarland Sporttoto GmbH. "We are convinced that we can achieve these goals with Wincor Nixdorf's terminal solutions."
Wincor Nixdorf is a leading supplier of IT solutions to private-client banks and retailers, the release added.
