German company rolls out 702 kiosks

December 27, 2004

DUSSELDORF, Germany - The German dm-drogerie market drug store group deployed dm-Service-Points kiosk systems in its 702 stores during the last quarter of 2004. Customers can now check the status of their PAYBACK loyalty accounts. With the new system, customers with more than 1,000 PAYBACK points can print a value check and redeem it with the purchase in the dm drugstore market.

Installation of the 702 systems was completed within three months. The terminals were delivered pre-configured to the stores to minimize sales disturbances. FILIADATA, the dm-internal IT-service provider, was responsible for the total project.

The kiosk terminals were developed by Polygon GmbH from Heusenstamm, near Frankfurt. Polygon previously provided the dm-drogerie market with its Multimedia Health Kiosks (MMGK). PLG and Swecoin components were also part of the kiosk project.
