Residents of Gwinnet County, Georgia, now don't have to wait in line to pay their property tax. They can do it through self-service kiosks located in all of the County Tax Commissioner's offices, according to areport by Gwinnet Daily Post.
"As customers come into our tag offices to renew their motor vehicle registration, they can also pay their property tax using credit or debit cards with the new kiosks," Commissioner Richard Steele said in a statement. "For the approximately 40 percent of Gwinnett property owners who pay their own property tax, this will add another convenient way to pay."
Users have the option to pay with debit or credit cards, but there is a fee to the convenience. Users have to pay a 2.29 percent service fee to pay by credit card and a flat $3.95 fee to pay by debit card. However, residents can also pay via check online with no fee.
