Georgia county expands vehicle tag renewal kiosks

The Gwinnett County, Georgia tax commissioner's office has expanded its tag renewal kiosks to include the Kroger store on Five Forks Trickum Road in Lilburn, the ninth such kiosk in the county, according to a Gwinnett Daily Post report.

The kiosk is available during the store's operating hours, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Drivers must have a current Georgia driver's license and a correct address on the renewal notice, along with liability insurance and proof of a passed emissions inspection.

The machines accept credit and debit cards and charge a convenience fee.

The tax commissioner's office has 24-hour kiosks at its North Gwinnett and Lawrenceville offices in addition to those at retail businesses.
