Georgia auto tag kiosk to relocate from technology center to Kroger store

February 20, 2017

A kiosk that allows residents to renew auto tags at the North Hall Community and Technology Center in Gainesville, Georgia will move to the Kroger Marketplace at 1931 Jesse Jewell Parkway by mid-March, according to The Gainesville Times.

The company that owns the kiosk, Carlsbad, California-based Intellectual Technology Inc., requested the change of venue in hopes of getting transactions at a location with more traffic, tax commissioner Darla Eden told the Hall County commissioners.

The kiosk had been at the North Hall center on Nopone Road since August 2015.

ITI entered into an agreement with Kroger stores last spring to install Georgia Motor Vehicle Division self-service kiosks at select Georgia stores. The kiosks are available nights and weekends in addition to regular business hours and allow Georgia residents with registered vehicles another payment option.
