Genkiosk partners with hardware provider

Genkiosk is partnering with hardware specialist Paralan to target the bill-payment sector. The companies are working with utility companies and telecom providers to streamline their interaction with customers by automating simple tasks such as checking balances and taking payment, according to a company press release.

Genkiosk and Paralan's first collaboration was to develop and manufacture a set of bill-payment kiosks for a North Carolina-based electricity cooperative. Paralan designed and produced the shell and sourced the kiosk peripherals, including the bill acceptor, credit card reader and receipt printer. Genkiosk developed a bespoke screen-flow according to the customer's specification, said Marc Brooks, operations manager at Paralan.

By working together, the companies hope to offer key benefits:
