CHICAGO - General Motors is offering shoppers at the downtown retail shop Marshall Field's a view of its latest concept cars and new models.
Inside the first-floor doors is a display unlike anything else in department stores: the 1,000-square-foot GM World Shop, a showcase of parked vehicles set among tailored English dress shirts, high-end cosmetics and French fountain pens.
The static display and online information kiosk are the latest in unique merchandise and environment enhancements conceived as a new way to reach out to customers.
