August 27, 2003

RANDOLPH, N.J. -- Technology analyst firm Gartner will conduct Kiosk Business' research into the concerns of kiosk buyers in the retail, hospitality, consumer goods, travel, government, banking and health care sectors.

According to a news release, the study will include analyses by Gartner specialists for each key industry vertical. Drill-down questions will investigate specific self-service developments in retail, hospitality, financial services, communications, consumer goods manufacturing, government, travel and transportation, and health care.

The original research and published commentary will feature insights into the challenges and opportunities for kiosks in all key vertical markets. The results will be published in the November/December 2003 issue of Kiosk Business.

"Gartner's reputation for groundbreaking research guarantees the results will help guide the industry into its next level of maturity," said Michael Kachmar, publisher of Kiosk Business, in the release.

The study presentation will be a keynote event at KioskCom 2004, the world's largest kiosk industry show, being held April 26-28 in Las Vegas.

Robert Goodwin, vice president of global industries practice for Gartner Dataquest, will be presenting the results. Gartner's global industries practice analyzes the 14 major vertical industry markets and delivers analyses of IT trends, issues, opportunities, market forecasts and vendor activities in those industries.
