BROOKLYN, Mich. -- An interactive exhibit lets fans of the Indy Racing League experience roaring down a track at 230 m.p.h., or being part of a pit crew changing tires and refueling during a 10-second pit stop.
The IRL Fan Experience is a hands-on mobile entertainment venue with three interactive Indy Racing League-themed displays. Since debuting in February, more than 1.1 million fans have experienced the IRL Fan Experience in numerous cities, according to a news report in the Adrian (Michigan) Daily Telegram.
Fans have an opportunity to drive the Indy Racing Challenge simulator, a high-performance mobile racing simulator using real IRL IndyCar Series cars. The experience features a tire-change competition and refueling station where fans can simulate what the IRL crews have to go through to make a 10-second pit stop.
A gaming kiosk with video game stations allows visitors to drive their favorite IRL tracks.
