GameCom won't play with Global VR

ARLINGTON, Texas - GameCom Inc. has decided against acquiring Global VR, a manufacturer of virtual reality game platforms.

According to a GameCom news release, the termination of a letter of intent by GameCom to acquire Global VR was made after a due diligence period and was agreed to by both parties.

GameCom designs, manufactures and assembles `Net GameLink, an interactive Internet gaming concept which uses network-enabled kiosks. L. Kelly Jones, GameCom's chief executive officer, said the company is negotiating with two other companies with the intent of making an acquisition.

The letter of agreement was signed January 10, 2001. On April 5, the companies announced that sales were brisk at their combined trade show booth at the Amusement Showcase International Convention in Las Vegas.
