GameChanger Systems, the company behind a fully automated video game buyback kiosk, has successfully completed a second round of Series A growth capital financing, according to a press release. The funding, provided by an existing family office investor, will be used to expand the company's kiosk fleet across the U.S.
The patented GameChanger kiosks allow consumers to instantly sell their used video game discs for cash, which is issued as digital gift cards. The company has already deployed kiosks in major markets like Houston, Dallas and the Metro DC area, with plans for further expansion in grocery stores and major retailers.
"This Series A round has allowed the opportunity to fine tune our disruptive technology and prepare for expansion into new markets through our existing master enterprise agreements with major grocers and retailers," Brent Hall, GameChanger CEO, said in the release.
The company's goal is to become a top brand for buying and selling entertainment media through its convenient kiosks and e-commerce site. GameChanger is now preparing for additional financing to roll out hundreds more kiosks in new markets.
