FullArmor unveils remote security product

December 5, 2005

BOSTON - FullArmor, provider of enterprise policy management, announced in a news release the availability of PolicyPortal, a Web services-based product that automatically enforces Active Directory Group Policy settings on machines that are temporarily or permanently disconnected from the directory. PolicyPortal enables organizations to continuously maintain secure configurations on Microsoft Windows-based endpoints, including notebooks, remote and home clients, corporate contractor and visitor machines, kiosks, POS systems and ATMs, by extending directory-based policy management over the Internet.

PolicyPortal supports the requirements of enterprises that have deployed Active Directory and want to enforce policy on disconnected machines; small-medium businesses that have not deployed Active Directory, but need to centrally enforce security policies; and managed service providers that need to manage and enforce customized security policies for multiple customers. PolicyPortal is based on Microsoft's 64-bit Windows Server 2003 R2 platform.
