Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. announced that Louisville, Ky.-based United Tote Company has integrated the Fujitsu G60 bill recycling unit in the KAM Account Management Kiosk. The units went live in four locations during this fall's meeting at Keeneland Racecourse, annual host to The Toyota Bluegrass Stakes.
The Fujitsu G60 is a compact recycling unit that can recycle four denominations and dispense a fifth denomination from its optional F53 loading cassette, and accept deposits. The loading cassette increases up-time and productivity by increasing capacities, start-of-day replenishment, or providing an additional denomination when necessary, a news release said.
The KAM Kiosk enables parimutuel customers to create accounts by scanning their driver's license and updating and viewing account history by swiping their wagering account card. In addition, with the inclusion of the G60 bill recycling unit, customers can fund accounts with cash or withdraw cash as one would at an ATM. The kiosk supports United Tote's FastBet Mobile wagering platform which allows customers to wager from their mobile device while at the track, according to the news release.
"The horse-racing patron is extremely demanding when it comes to speed and accuracy, especially when handling their cash in a self-service environment," said Nate Simon, president of United Tote. "We selected the Fujitsu G60 for the KAM Account Management Kiosk after thoroughly testing it in our labs and putting it through exhaustive beta and pilot tests throughout the country. It performed extremely well in the most demanding environments. We plan on integrating the G60 in all future KAM Account Management Kiosk locations."
