Fujitsu announced today their entry into the Digital Image Processing market with a line up of hardware and software solutions to suit any environment.
The company has been closely following the expansion of this technology in the US and has decided to offer the service to its clients in the UK.
Fujitsu has taken a very different approach to the traditional model of developing the total solution in house and instead, adopted a partnership approach working with market leaders in application development and kiosk manufacturing. Fujitsu will be partnering with other global players such as Sony, ICI & Epson for their print solutions and TouchPoint for the application layer.
Fujitsu's strength lies in delivering solutions across Europe, integration, deployment, delivery, support & management of large scale IT infrastructures and applications. Fujitsu will be supporting the hardware and software applications with wrap around services including; consultancy, training & flexible finance packages.
Commenting on the announcement, Fujitsu explains "We have seen a number of solutions enter the market over the past six months however, the customer is often left confused as to which solution to deploy". "Our approach will be to offer a more flexible service by consulting with the client to deliver the most suitable design from a wide range of housing styles, branding options and payment methods". This takes away the element of the unknown, as part of the service deliverables will be that of technically vetting the manufacturers and suppliers prior to offering their solutions to the client.
Fujitsu believes they stand unique in the market as the only global multi-vendor solutions provider allowing the company to tailor its offer from a range of suppliers.
