Frost & Sullivan selects Hand Held Products for award

SKANEATELES FALLS, N.Y - Frost & Sullivan honored Hand Held Products, Inc. with its Market Penetration Leadership Award, according to a news release. The award was presented to Hand Held Products for its excellence in product innovation, marketing, and sales of its Image Kiosk 8870. Hand Held Products is a worldwide manufacturer of image-based data collection systems for mobile, wireless and transaction processing solutions.

Powered by Adaptus Imaging Technology, the Image Kiosk 8870 can be used by store employees and consumers to quickly and easily read bar codes, regardless of the bar code's orientation. The device also can perform advanced reading of damaged or poorly printed bar codes. The built-in Adaptus Imaging Technology allows the device to take a picture of the customer's driver license or other form of identification giving the Image Kiosk 8870 age-verification functionality.
