Friendlyway selects Fantastic to create broadband-enabled information kiosks

April 14, 2002

MUNICH, Germany and ZUG, Switzerland -- Friendlyway AG has selected managed broadband content delivery software by the Fantastic Corporation to target information, marketing and selling programs across large networks of kiosks, POS and information systems.

Friendlyway is a Munich, Germany-based provider of Internet-based public access communication solutions.

The Fantastic Corporation of Zug, Switzerland, provides software solutions for data broadcasting.

Most kiosks are updated once or twice a month, friendlyway claims. With the Fantastic solution enabling new content delivery on a real-time basis, friendlyway can provide public access systems that offer constantly changing multimedia content tailored to individual needs. By using Fantastic Channel Editorial Center software, friendlyway and its customers will now be able to broadcast dynamically changing multimedia to tens of thousands of POS devices.

In addition to consumer-based applications, friendlyway also plans to use Fantastic broadband distribution capabilities to enhance business-to-employee communication. For example, companies can conduct live, interactive training sessions that are broadcast over the Fantastic infrastructure to employees at thousands of retail outlets.

To support customers wishing to expand broadband distribution to other areas of their business, friendlyway will also resell the Fantastic Channel Editorial Center.
