Freetouch, a provider of software solutions for touchless interactivity, has introduced its patent-pending technology which eliminates the need for physical contact with touchscreens, according to a press release. The solution lets businesses provide touch-free kiosk interaction via customers' personal smartphones. Freetouch installs in minutes and requires no additional hardware or software development.
Users snap a digital QR code to instantly connect to a kiosk, with no app download or registration required. An interface lets users click, drag, scroll and perform multi-touch gestures on their own device to interact with touchscreen applications. Interactions are secure and anonymous.
The solution is now available for purchase by organizations needing to operate customer-facing touchscreens amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Freetouch is licensed on a subscription basis with a 14-day free trial period, providing an immediately deployable option to let businesses safely activate publicly-accessible interactive displays.
