According to H-online.com, New Zealand information security specialist Paul Craig released version 5 of iKAT (Interactive Kiosk Attack Tool) at the recent Defcon hacker conference.
A free Web service, iKAT works to penetrate the protective mechanisms of internet kiosk PCs to gain control of the systems. Such computers can usually be found in hotel lobbies, airport lounges and other public spaces, and deployers can use iKAT to test the security of their systems.
