Galen Smith, the former CEO of Redbox who became executive vice chairman of Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment when it acquired Redbox in August, will resign from the company on Jan. 2, according to an msn.com report.

William Rouhana Jr., CEO of Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, will assume Smith's responsibilities.
